I will review your idea, reference images, and preferred size or format to understand the vision for your commission.
Discussion, Quote & Deposit
I will confirm the scope, pricing, and estimated timeline for your commission. Once everything is agreed, a 50% deposit secures your booking and allows work to begin, with the remaining balance upon completion.
Creation
I will create your artwork with care and attention to detail, bringing the concept to life in my signature style.
Review & Completion
I will share a preview where appropriate, allowing up to three small revisions or adjustments before the final artwork is completed and the final artwork is completed and the remaining balance is settled.
Pricing Guidance
Commissioned artwork is priced based on the time involved. As a guide, I charge £20 per hour.
Before starting, we’ll discuss your idea in detail and I’ll provide a clear estimate of the total hours required, along with a fixed quote. Once agreed, this price will not increase – even if the artwork takes longer than expected.
As a rough guide:
Smaller pieces (such as A3 artworks) typically take around 10 hours. More detailed or larger commissions may take 20–40 hours, depending on complexity.
This ensures transparency and allows each bespoke artwork to be priced fairly based on the work involved.
Timeframes
Timeframes vary depending on the size, complexity, and medium of the commission. Acrylic pieces typically have a shorter turnaround, while oil paintings require longer due to extended drying times.
Most commissioned artworks are completed within 2–12 weeks; however, for oil commissions, please allow up to 12 weeks to ensure the artwork is fully dry, sealed, and professionally prepared before delivery.
If you’re commissioning a piece for a specific deadline, such as a birthday or special occasion, please get in touch as early as possible to discuss availability. I’ll always confirm an estimated completion date before work begins.

Do you require a deposit for commissions?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your custom art commission. The remaining balance is payable upon completion, before delivery or collection.
Can I request specific colours or themes?
Absolutely. Custom commissions are designed to reflect your personal taste, interior style, or emotional connection to the subject. Colour palettes, mood, and composition are all discussed during the planning stage.
Do you ship commissioned artwork?
Yes, all commissioned artworks are carefully packaged and shipped within the UK and internationally. Larger or framed pieces are securely protected to ensure safe delivery.
Are commissioned artworks refundable?
Due to the bespoke nature of custom artwork, commissioned pieces are non-refundable once work has begun. This ensures each commission receives the time and attention it deserves.
